Major Israeli international airports have been subjected to GPS interference for several weeks, affecting aircraft entering and exiting the runway.
The reason is that the jammer interfered with the GPS system of Ben Gurion Airport, forcing the pilots to pay more attention during takeoff or landing exercises.
The Israel Aviation Pilots Association said: "This blockade requires a lot of technical knowledge and mechanical skills that individuals or organizations do not have."
According to analysts in Hebrew, Russia is behind this "criminal" cyber attack.
Moscow has the technical capabilities to carry out such interference. It is well known that Vladimir Putin's security department uses GPS jammer to protect the Russian president.
Although this hacking has affected the civilian sector, the Israeli army stated that it is ready to help the Ben Gurion team by providing its technology to the airport.
