In the civilian field, drones may be used in terrorist attacks. The Terrorism and Rebellion Monitoring Report published by Jane's Group in 2017 showed that military organizations may use drones to attack large-scale gatherings. Similarly, drones may be used to attack airports, such as crashing into passenger planes after carrying explosives, or directly into aircraft engine blades. Unmanned systems can also be used to attack iconic targets in major cities to achieve propaganda purposes.
As UAVs become increasingly commercialized, their threats to military and civilian targets are also increasing. With the increasing popularity of cheap and easy-to-operate drones around the world, there is an urgent need to develop drone jammer to counter this threat. This trend can be seen from the recent vigorous development of anti-UAV systems, and the European Defense Exhibition held in Paris in June this year also emphasized this trend.
