Recently, the College of Animal Science and Technology of Yangzhou University conducted a survey on the use of mobile phones by college students, and found that nearly 80% of colleges live on mobile phones in class, and most of them are online chats and social networking sites. In response to this situation, the college installed cell phone jammer into the classroom this year.
Mobile phone dependence seems to be a common problem for college students. The use of mobile phone signal jammers is intended to improve this phenomenon through forced restraint. However, some students questioned that in case of an emergency, calls cannot be made and there is a potential safety hazard. What do college students in this city think about the mobile phone signal jammer entering the classroom?
The starting point for the school to take this measure is to improve the efficiency of students’ listening to classes and to maintain a strict school spirit. But blindly using "blocking" methods does not play a fundamental role. If students don’t want to attend classes, they can still use their mobile phones to read novels and play games after blocking their mobile phone signals. In the end, the student's listening efficiency is still low. In my opinion, "sparse" is more important than "blocking." The key to solving this problem lies in improving students' consciousness and increasing their interest in learning. If students are allowed to consciously listen to the class carefully without making a difference, the effect will definitely be more significant than any signal jammer.
