If you've ever tried Wi-Fi in a basement apartment or old house, you know that signal loss is a problem. Walls in older houses can act as barriers to wireless signals (wifi signal jammer) - especially if they are made of concrete or brick. Sometimes even newer homes have Wi-Fi issues because they have thick walls: Concrete slabs interfere more with radio waves than drywall.
